BrightEras is a career exploration platform designed for children ages 8-18. Our service provides age-appropriate assessments, AI-powered career recommendations, communication style profiling, and longitudinal progress tracking to help children and their parents explore future possibilities.
Age Requirements & Parental Consent
BrightEras is designed for children ages 8-18. All accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years old. By creating an account and adding a child profile, you represent that:
- You are the parent or legal guardian of the child
- You consent to the collection and processing of your child's assessment data
- The child's date of birth you provide is accurate
- You will supervise your child's use of the platform as appropriate
Additional consent is required before each child's first assessment, in compliance with COPPA regulations.
Acceptable Use
When using BrightEras, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about yourself and your children
- Use the platform only for its intended purpose of career exploration
- Not share account credentials with unauthorized individuals
- Not attempt to access other users' data or circumvent security measures
- Not use the platform for commercial purposes or data harvesting
Intellectual Property
All content on BrightEras, including assessment questions, recommendation algorithms, career profiles, and the communication style framework, is the intellectual property of BrightEras. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission. Reports generated for your family are for personal use only.

BrightEras recommendations are exploratory in nature and are not professional career guidance, psychological assessments, or educational prescriptions.
Our assessments and recommendations are designed to spark curiosity and help children explore possibilities. They should not be used as the sole basis for educational decisions, career planning, or evaluations of a child's abilities.

Limitation of Liability
BrightEras is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any assessment results or recommendations. BrightEras shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our service.
AI-generated recommendations may occasionally contain inaccuracies. Parents should review all recommendations before sharing them with children and use their own judgment about what is appropriate for their family.
Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting our support team. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, all associated data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
